Berkeley Haas raised nearly $2 million from a record-breaking number of donors during the 2025 Big Give, an annual 24-hour campuswide online fundraising blitz.

Haas alumni, parents, friends, staff, students, and faculty collectively raised $1,966,203 from a total of 1,020 gifts, besting the previous Big Gift record by more than 100 gifts.

“Thank you for making history with us,” said Howie Avery, vice dean for Development and Alumni Relations. “We are so grateful to our generous Berkeley Haas community for supporting and illuminating the transformative learning and innovative research happening on our campus.”

This year, Haas topped the campus leaderboard in the following challenges:

  • First place for the most donors to a fund from 6-9 a.m.
  • Second place for the largest number of faculty and staff donors to a fund from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
  • Third place for the most donors to a fund all day and largest number of donors to a fund from 10 a.m.-noon

Haas also ranked third among the schools, colleges, and programs for the most money raised.

Big Give launched in 2014 to give the entire Berkeley community the chance to come together to support favorite schools and programs and to help those schools and programs win prize money.

This year’s event raised a UC Berkeley total of $15.8 million from 14,529 donors.
