A panel of five investment industry executives will lay out “A Roadmap for Social Impact Investing” and what it means for investors, wealth managers, social enterprises, and corporations on Monday, Jan. 30, as part of the Schwab Charitable Speaker Series.

The discussion will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Wells Fargo Room. The series is organized by the Center for Nonprofit and Public Leadership.

The panelists represent companies who are helping pave the way for this relatively new, but rapidly growing field. They are:

· Kim Laughton, president of Schwab Charitable, which has raised more than $5 billion for philanthropy since it was established in 1999.

· Benjamin E. Allen, MBA 05, director of research and portfolio manager of the Parnassus Mid-Cap Fund. Parnassus incorporates environmental, social and governance factors into its investment process.

· Ron Cordes, BS 81, co-chairman of Genworth Financial and a social impact investor in entrepreneurship efforts around the globe through the Corden Foundation, which he established with his wife in 2006.

· John Goldstein, co-founder & managing director, Imprint Capital Advisors, which helps clients create strategies to leverage their capital for impact in areas that include green technology, community development and social enterprise.

· R. Paul Herman, CEO & founder, HIP Investor Inc. (Human Impact + Profit), and author of “The HIP Investor: Make Bigger Profits by Building a Better World.” His company launched the HIP 100 Index as a sustainable alternative to the S&P 100.
