Panel to Explore Innovation Through Philanthropic Prizes, Feb. 10

A panel of experts will explore innovation through philanthropic prizes Feb. 10 in the next event in the school's Schwab Charitable Speaker Series.

Presented by the Center for Nonprofit and Public Leadership, “The Promise of Philanthropic Prizes to Drive Innovation” panel discussion will run from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, in the Wells Fargo Room.

Paul Jansen, Haas lecturer, McKinsey & Company director emeritus, and co-author of the 2009 publication And the Winner Is… Capturing the Promise of Philanthropic Prizes, will moderate the discussion. The panelists include Douglas Goldman, vice president of the Goldman Environmental Prize, and Francis Béland, vice president of prize development for the X-Prize Foundation.
