UC Berkeley Haas ranked No. 8 in the U.S. in Bloomberg Businessweek’s “Best Business School Rankings 2026-27.”

Haas also ranked No. 6 for compensation, which constitutes 40.6% of the ranking.

The annual ranking, published Sept. 15, is based on surveys of recent full-time MBA graduates, alumni, and employers, as well as employment and compensation data.

This year, Bloomberg ranked schools across four indexes: graduate compensation, learning, entrepreneurship, and networking. Employers, new graduates, and alumni from three classes (2018-2020) were asked about their experiences in these four areas. Bloomberg removed the inclusion index from this year’s ranking, but continued to collect and publish data on gender, racial, and ethnic diversity.

In addition to the survey data, Bloomberg also collected employment and compensation data from schools and the Career Services & Employer Alliance (CSEA). These data account for about half of the compensation index.
