Network and nibble on fine comestibles while watching a Berkeley-Haas culinary contest at Taste of Haas, the school’s annual food and wine fest, on Thursday, Sept. 16, at Williams-Sonoma’s flagship store on San Francisco’s Union Square.
With more than half of the tickets already gone, this signature event hosted by all four Bay Area Haas Alumni chapters is sure to sell out. This year’s event features tastes from over 35 Bay Area purveyors, more than half of whom are Haas or UC Berkeley alumni.
Taking the spotlight this year is a “Golden Chef” culinary contest with Professor Michael Katz, director of the school's Institute for Business Innovation, and Adam Berman, BS 85, executive director of Haas Emerging Initiatives, competing for the Golden Spatula. In addition, campus a capella singers will be crooning and Oski will be up to his usual antics.
Festivities take place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. For more information and to register, go to http://tasteofhaas.eventbrite.com. Receive an early registration discount until September 7 and save an additional $5.00 off the ticket price when you become a Taste of Haas Facebook fan.
