Professor Omri Even-Tov wins American Accounting Association Best Paper Award

Associate Professor Omri Even-Tov has been named a recipient of the American Accounting Association’s 2026 Accounting Horizons Best Paper Award.

The paper, “Bridging the Gap between Academia and Practice in Accounting,” is co-authored by Shana Clor-Proell of Texas Christian University, Charles M. C. Lee of the University of Washington, and Shivaram Rajgopal of Columbia Business School.

Selected by AAA member vote from among the top five papers chosen by Accounting Horizons editors, the paper was published in the March 2025 issue. It will be recognized at the association’s Global Connect meeting in Las Vegas on August 4.

Even-Tov’s work examines the economic consequences of different disclosure policies in different settings. His work spans accounting and financial disclosures, capital markets, IPOs, SPACs, and fintech. At Haas since 2015, Even-Tov also serves as Faculty Director of the Center for Social Sector Leadership. He is a three-time winner of the Cheit Award for Excellence in Teaching.
