New CalBusiness Features Nobel Laureate Oliver Williamson

Check out the latest issue of the Haas School's CalBusiness magazine, which features a cover story on Professor Emeritus Oliver Williamson's path to earning the 2009 Nobel Prize in Economics.

The winter 2009 issue of CalBusiness also offers a look at thought-provoking research by Haas professors Laura Kray and Philip Tetlock on thinking about "what might have been" and by Professors Teck-Hua Ho and Eduardo Andrade on showing emotions during negotiations.

The magazine features inspiring stories about alumni Ivan J. Houston, BS 48, a World War II veteran and retired CEO of Golden State Mutual Life Insurance; real estate whiz Constance Moore, MBA 80; energy finance dealmaker Robert Nicholson, MBA 95; Jason Kibbey and Jeff Denby, MBA 08, and their company, PACT underwear; merchant banking entrepreneur Tom Metz, MBA 79; and media consultant Judith Hamerman, BCEMBA 04.

The magazine closes with an article by Andrew Exnicios, MBA 07, about his unique experience applying the skills he gained at Haas to his service in the U.S. Army in Afghanistan after graduation.
