This past year, we embarked on a tremendous community effort to define the stories that will shape Haas’ branding in the coming years. I’m proud to share the results with you here.

In short, Haas trains the leaders the world needs: those who move with intelligence and integrity, who harness technology while holding onto purpose, who see the possibility amid uncertainty. Our mission is to prepare students to compete in a changing world, of course, but we have an even greater ambition: to develop leaders who shape the change itself. One way we do this is through mentorship. I hope the stories included here inspire many of you to become mentors.

Because at Haas, innovation isn’t a string of separate pursuits—we have created an intentionally connected and deep ecosystem. You’ll read an example of the Haas Alumni Network in action. We also showcase UC Berkeley Executive Education, which shares Haas’ deep expertise in entrepreneurship, AI, sustainability and social impact, and health with the world, maximizing our influence on business and society.

My global listening tour starts in January. I can’t wait to see many of you, and I’m eager to hear what’s on your mind!
