Full-time MBA Program Ranks #13 in Businessweek

The Full-time Berkeley MBA Program ranked 13th in this year’s Businessweek ranking released Nov. 15, compared with 8thin the prior ranking in 2010.

Haas ranked #3 in intellectual capital (based on faculty research; compared to #5 in 2010), #10 in the student poll (compared to #4 in 2010), and #13 in the recruiter poll (compared to #11 in 2010).

Haas also scored the following grades (based on responses from the 2012 student survey):

A+ in Caliber of Classmates
A in Career Services,
A in Critical Thinking
A in Leadership Qualities
B in Teaching Quality

The ranking is based on a student-satisfaction poll (45%); a poll of corporate recruiters (45%); and a faculty research ranking (10%), which is based on the number of publications a school’s faculty published in 20 peer-reviewed journals selected by BusinessWeek. The student rating is calculated from a weighted average of the last three student surveys, with the class of 2012 responses counting for 50% and 2010 and 2008 contributing 25% each. The same three-year weighted average applies to the recruiter poll. The letter grades are based on responses from the 2012 student poll.

Earlier this year, Haas ranked #6 in The Economist magazine’s global MBA ranking and #7 in the U.S. News & World Report ranking.
