The Haas School's Facilities and Building Operations Department will join Enterprise Computing and Service Management on May 17 to better capitalize on the synergies between the two units, COO Jennifer Chizuk announced May 5.
The new merged group will report to Haas CIO Lyle Nevels.
A more formal operating relationship between Facilities and Information Technology is being created to accelerate service improvements for faculty, staff, and students by allowing these groups to take advantage of each other’s expertise, process leadership, and systems implementation, Chizuk explained in an email.
The two units already come together at many points, including space renovation, classroom construction, workspace design, support and operational services, disaster recovery, and emergency preparedness, she wrote.
Questions about the new structure should be directed to Nevels or Chizuk.
