Clorox Chairman and CEO Donald R. Knauss will speak on leadership Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the Haas School as part of the Dean's Speaker Series.

Knauss joined the Clorox Co., a leading manufacturer and marketer of cleaning, bleach, and other products, as chairman and CEO in 2006. Under his leadership, Clorox revenue has grown from $4.6 billion in fiscal year 2006 to $5.5 billion in fiscal year 2010. The Oakland-based company employs 8,300 people worldwide and markets products in more than 100 countries.
Knauss came to Clorox after working for 12 years at the Coca-Cola Co., where he was promoted to chief operating officer of Coca-Cola North America in 2004. Before Coca-Cola, he held a variety of marketing and sales positions with PepsiCo and Procter & Gamble. Knauss was also an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Knauss is a recipient of the Jackie Robinson Foundation’s ROBIE Award for industry achievement in 2006 for his commitment to promoting and expanding opportunities for minorities in the corporate world.
