Berkeley, Haas Thrive in Recent Rankings

Haas #6 in The Economist

The Full-time Berkeley MBA Program placed #6 in the world in the Oct. 6 issue of The Economist “Which MBA?” ranking.  Haas came in #6 in the world in the same ranking last year.

Berkeley MBA students rated several aspects of their program, giving the culture and classmates the highest rating of 4.9 out of 5. Stanford was the only other school whose students gave their culture and classmates the highest rating.

The Economist rankings are based on data provided by participating business schools and responses from an MBA student survey. The ranking focuses on four areas: Opening new career opportunities (35%), personal development/educational experience (35%), increase in salary (20%), and potential to network (10%). Results from the previous two years are also considered. The data is weighted 50% on the results of 2012, 30% on 2011, and 20% on 2010.
