Jeremy Fiance announced the $6 million House Fund last week, which will make pre-seed and seed-stage investments in Berkeley startups. We asked Fiance three key questions.
1) Will all Haas students be able to apply for funding?
Yes, we have already funded two Haas startups, including Eko Devices (Jason Bellet, BS 14), and another soon to be announced.
2) Can you outline the review process. How do students apply?
Students with a startup seeking funding should reach out to us at thehouse.fund and fill out the “I’m a founder” form.
3) What are the investors looking for?
We are happy to meet startups at any stage. We are looking to invest in startups with strong, committed teams, pursuing big market opportunities, with early proof of company thesis.
