Four Haas Alums Make 40 Under 40 List The San Francisco Business Times has released its third annual 40 under 40 award winners, a group of CEOs, entrepreneurs, and top executives making a difference in the local business community. Alum's LED Lighting Startup Cuts Energy Costs in Haas Computer Lab If you use the Haas computer lab, you may have noticed a subtle yet significant change in the overhead lighting. Haas Facilities recently replaced 78 fluorescent lights with 52 broader spectrum, cost-saving LED lamps provided by NEXT Lighting Corp., a startup founded by Berkeley-Haas alumnus Randall Sosnick, BS 81, JD 85. Four Members of Haas Community Honored by Thinkers50 Global Ranking of Management Thinkers Haas Adjunct Professor and alumnus Henry Chesbrough, PhD 97, and UC Berkeley School of Information Professor Morten Hansen made the 2013 Thinkers50 global ranking of management thinkers. Alumnus Ikujiro Nonaka, MBA 68, PhD 72, a top authority on knowledge creation and management, received the Thinkers50 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award this month, while Haas Lecturer Steve Blank was short-listed for a Thinkers50 Breakthrough Idea Award.
