YEAH Revs Up Volt Raffle with Video for Social Media Campaign

With help from award-winning advertisers Goodby, Silverstein, the Young Entrepreneurs at Haas (YEAH) Program has launched a new video on its mentoring program and Volt raffle fundraiser.
Goodby, Silverstein, & Partners, General Motors' ad agency, made the video at no charge to YEAH, a self-supporting program that puts economically disadvantaged youth on the college-bound track and boasts a 100% success rate in sending its participants to college. Haas alumnus and YEAH founding board member David Eckles, MBA 73, donated the Chevrolet Volt for the raffle to help raise funds and visibility for YEAH.
The YEAH video is being featured in a social media campaign that targets early electric vehicle adopters, Silicon Valley workers and executives, and people affiliated with Haas, as recommended by undergraduates who won a social media competition
sponsored by YEAH last year. The campaign also will feature pages on LinkedIn and Facebook as well as booths at events, including Cal Day, MBA Reunion Weekend, and the All-Alumni Conference – all in April.
YEAH will draw the winning ticket for the Volt raffle on May 5 at its annual end-of-year showcase event, where students present their projects in the Haas School's Andersen Auditorium. YEAH kicked off its raffle to win a Volt automobile last year with the help of alumnus and former General Motors Vice Chair Bob Lutz, BS 61, MBA 62, who came up with the idea behind the Volt.
