Whole Foods COO to Discuss Responsible Leadership, Jan. 26

Whole Foods Co-president and Chief Operating Officer Walter Robb, who has built a healthy career bringing organic foods from the fringe to the mass market, will speak about sustainable leadership on Tuesday, Jan. 26, at 12:30 p.m. in the Wells Fargo Room.

Robb's talk is part of the Peterson Lecture Series on Corporate Responsibility, organized by the Center for Responsible Business. The lecture is free and open to the Haas community, but space is limited. Please RSVP to [email protected].

A passion for organic foods drove Robb to open a natural foods store in 1976 – two years before Whole Foods Market CEO John Mackey got his start. Robb also spent time as a farmer and consultant before joining Whole Foods in 1991 to open the Mill Valley store. He became co-president in 2004 and is now part of an unusual leadership team that capped executive salaries at 19 times average employees' earnings.
