SF Networking Event to Cultivate Industry Connections

As many as 500 Berkeley MBA students, alumni, and friends will converge at the sixth annual San Francisco Networking Event Oct. 20 to connect in a social setting and refine elevator pitches to prospective employers.

The event, at the Marriott San Francisco, will run from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Attending this event “increases opportunities for the Haas community to learn from and assist each other," says Meg Roundy, Associate Director, Student-Alumni Relations.

Guests will wear color-coded ribbons that match their self-selected industry so that students and alumni in the same field can find each other and network more efficiently. Thirteen industries will be represented, including clean technology, venture capital, entrepreneurship, digital media, social venture, and real estate. Dress code is business or business casual.

This event is organized by Haas Alumni Relations, the Haas Career Management Group, and the Full-time MBA Association.

Additionally, Haas Career Management will counsel attendees on career searches, and Haas Alumni Relations will help plug students and alumni into the Haas@Cal Alumni Directory and Haas LinkedIn Affinity Groups.

Admission is $25 for alumni and alumni guests and $15 for MBA students and student guests. The price includes hors d’oeuvres and two drink tickets. Registration is required by Oct. 14. To register, visit cvent.com/d/3cqj62.
