PhD Graduates to Teach at 12 Universities Worldwide

The Haas School's PhD graduates this year have landed positions at top universities in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Australia.

Among the graduates, five studied finance, four studied management of organizations, three studied business and public policy, two studied accounting, and one studied marketing.

Thirteen graduates have accepted assistant professorships, while one will be a visiting assistant professor and one has accepted a position with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

"The Haas PhD program continues to be one of the strongest business doctoral programs in the country," says Professor Sunil Dutta, director of the Haas PhD Program. "Our graduating PhD students landed positions at some of the most prestigious business schools around the world. Top schools are interested in tapping the pioneering new ideas generated at Haas."

Three graduates have accepted positions overseas, with one teaching at IESE in Barcelona, one at the University of Copenhagen, and one at the University of Melbourne.

Three graduates are heading east to join the faculty at New York University’s Stern School, one as a visiting assistant professor. Two will journey north to Canada to share knowledge and expertise at McGill University and the University of Toronto.

On the West Coast, one graduate will teach at the University of Southern California, one at Santa Clara University, and one at California State University, Fullerton. Other U.S. universities receiving Haas PhD graduates as assistant professors are the University of Georgia, the University of Pittsburgh, and the University of Minnesota.
