Evening & Weekend MBA Program Ranks #2 in U.S. News

The Evening & Weekend MBA Program moved up a notch to #2 in the U.S. News & World Report ranking of top U.S. part-time MBA programs, released Tuesday, March 13, and the Berkeley Full-time MBA Program held its #7 position among U.S. full-time MBA programs.

The Evening & Weekend MBA Program, which ranked #3 last year, tied this year for second with Chicago Booth. The Full-Time MBA Program has ranked #7 in the ranking for three years in a row.
The Berkeley-Columbia Executive MBA Program remained at #9 for the second year in a row among U.S. executive MBA programs.
Haas also appeared in nine specialty rankings, compared to eight last year:
#3 Nonprofit (#3 last year)
#6 Entrepreneurship (#6 last year)
#8 Finance (#7 last year)
#9 Management (#7 last year)
#8 Marketing (#8 last year)
#10 International (#10 last year)
#11 Accounting (#16 last year)
#11 Information Systems (#11 last year)
#11 Production/Operations (did not rank last year)
U.S. News employed a new methodology this year for its part-time MBA ranking, counting average peer assessment score (50 percent of the school’s overall score); the average GMAT score of students entering in fall 2011 (15 percent); average undergraduate GPA (5 percent); work experience (15 percent); and the percentage of the business school’s fall 2011 MBA enrollment that is part-time (15 percent).
The full-time MBA ranking was based on reputation polls of recruiters and peers (40 percent), namely business school deans and full-time MBA directors, as well as on data points provided by participating schools, including data regarding placement success (35 percent) and selectivity (25 percent).
As in the past, the specialty and executive MBA rankings are based entirely on reputation polls of business school deans and full-time MBA directors.
In another ranking last fall, conducted by The Economist, the Berkeley Full-Time MBA Program ranked #5 in the U.S., while the Berkeley-Columbia Program ranked #5 in the U.S.
