U.S. News employed a new methodology this year for its part-time MBA ranking, counting average peer assessment score (50 percent of the school’s overall score); the average GMAT score of students entering in fall 2011 (15 percent); average undergraduate GPA (5 percent); work experience (15 percent); and the percentage of the business school’s fall 2011 MBA enrollment that is part-time (15 percent).
The full-time MBA ranking was based on reputation polls of recruiters and peers (40 percent), namely business school deans and full-time MBA directors, as well as on data points provided by participating schools, including data regarding placement success (35 percent) and selectivity (25 percent).
As in the past, the specialty and executive MBA rankings are based entirely on reputation polls of business school deans and full-time MBA directors.
In another ranking last fall, conducted by The Economist
, the Berkeley Full-Time MBA Program ranked #5 in the U.S., while the Berkeley-Columbia Program ranked #5 in the U.S.
