Chief Marketing Officers Share Insights in New MBA Course

Experts who "thrive" and "think outside the bun" will share wisdom with students in the Full-time MBA Program through a new course called the Chief Marketing Officer Insight Series launching this spring.

The series kicks off with Del Monte Foods CMO Bill Pearce, who will speak Feb. 9. Additional speakers include CMOs and senior marketing VPs who drive the "thrive" campaign at Kaiser Permanente and "think outside the bun" campaign at Taco Bell, as well as marketing leaders from Levi's, Yahoo!, Chevron, and more. In addition to sharing insights and case studies from their organizations in a 90-minute lecture, the marketing execs will join a small group of students for dinner after class and engage in additional mentoring opportunities.

The ten-week course was developed by Haas Marketing Group Chair Teck Ho and Marjorie DeGraca, who last fall added strategic responsibilities in the Haas Marketing Group to her position as executive director of Evening & Weekend MBA Program admissions. There is space for 50 full-time MBA students to enroll in the one-unit course (MBA 294.2), which will meet on Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., Feb. 9 through April 20.
